Day 1 – Bodrum
Embarkation takes place in Bodrum, one of Turkey’s main yacht charter centres. After boarding, guests meet the crew, settle into their cabins and review the week’s programme with the captain.
Depending on the embarkation time and customs schedule, the yacht may remain in Bodrum for the first evening or move to a nearby anchorage.
Bodrum is also a practical starting point for international charters because of its marina infrastructure and proximity to the Dodecanese islands.
Day 2 – Kos Island
After completing the required departure and entry formalities, the yacht can cruise from Bodrum towards Kos.
Kos is one of the most accessible Dodecanese islands from the Turkish coast. The island combines a lively harbour area with historic sites, restaurants and easy access ashore.
Guests may visit Kos Old Town, the Castle of the Knights, the archaeological areas or the Asklepion. Alternatively, they can remain onboard and enjoy the yacht before an evening in port.
Day 3 – Pserimos & Leros
The third day can begin with a stop around Pserimos. This small island is well suited to a morning swim and a short visit ashore.
Afterwards, the yacht continues north towards Leros. Depending on the captain’s plan, the yacht may approach Lakki, Panteli or another suitable anchorage.
Leros offers a different atmosphere from Kos. It is generally quieter and is known for its sheltered bays, small settlements and distinctive architectural heritage.
Day 4 – Patmos Island
The route continues towards Patmos, one of the most distinctive islands in the northern Dodecanese.
Most yachts use Skala as the main harbour area. From here, guests can explore the island, visit Chora or arrange a visit to the Monastery of Saint John and the Cave of the Apocalypse.
Meanwhile, guests who prefer a quieter day can stay onboard or use one of the island’s nearby bays for swimming, depending on weather and berth availability.
Day 5 – Lipsi Island
Lipsi is a smaller and quieter island than Kos or Patmos. Therefore, it works particularly well for guests who prefer a slower day with more time at anchor.
The yacht may stop near the main harbour or choose a nearby bay depending on conditions. Guests can swim, explore the village or have lunch at one of the local tavernas.
Because distances in this part of the Dodecanese are relatively manageable, the day can often be planned around both swimming and time ashore.
Day 6 – Kalymnos Island
Kalymnos combines an active harbour town with rugged coastal scenery and a strong maritime identity.
The island is historically associated with sponge diving, and guests can explore Pothia, visit local museums or spend time in one of the nearby coastal areas.
In addition, Kalymnos provides a useful stop before the yacht begins its return journey towards Bodrum.
Day 7 – Aquarium Bay & Bodrum Coast
After completing the required exit and entry procedures, the yacht returns towards the Bodrum coast.
Depending on timing and weather, the final afternoon may include a swimming stop around Aquarium Bay or another suitable anchorage close to Bodrum.
This keeps the final day relaxed and avoids an unnecessary long passage before disembarkation the following morning.
Day 8 – Bodrum
The yacht returns to Bodrum for disembarkation. Check-out time depends on the individual charter agreement and the yacht’s operating programme.
Guests can then continue to Bodrum hotels, Yalikavak, Turkbuku or Milas-Bodrum Airport. Private transfers can also be arranged when requested.

Best Time for a North Dodecanese Gulet Charter
The main charter season generally runs from late spring to early autumn.
June is a popular period because the weather is warm and the busiest high-season weeks have not yet started.
July and August are the peak months. Therefore, popular gulets and preferred harbour dates can be booked well in advance.
September remains a strong option because the sea is warm and island traffic is often more manageable than in August.
May and October can also work. However, weather and wind conditions can be more variable.
Turkey–Greece Charter Formalities
